The Storm sits just below the Thunder in Minimotors' range and trades a little speed for a higher rider limit — 330 pounds against the Thunder's 265, which for a heavier rider makes it the more sensible of the two. A 2,520 Wh LG pack, hydraulic suspension at both ends, 11-inch tubeless tires and hydraulic discs are otherwise the familiar Dualtron recipe, and so is the durability that recipe is known for. Acceleration is measured at 4.2 seconds to 30 mph. The twenty-three-hour charge on the stock charger is the same practical problem the Thunder has, and the answer is the same: buy a second charger with the scooter. As with the rest of the line, the trigger throttle and the deliberately industrial build are either the appeal or the deal-breaker; nobody buys a Dualtron for refinement.
